Photo Diary 2-3/8/14

I've had two really nice weekends in a row. The weekend before last, my friend Rachel came up from Sheffield to spend some time with me and Alice.
We got ourselves some delicious iced tea from Yumchaa and chatted for hours, which was amazing. I see these two lovely ladies not nearly often enough, so getting to have a proper catch up is a luxury. Tea-wise I went for Notting Hill which you apparently drink when you dance with parrots. I only learnt the parrot thing just now, I didn't actually dance with parrots, but still very muchly enjoyed the tea.

Love these two lovely ladies ♥ After strolling around for a little while, we went to B-SOHO for some cocktails and dinner. I absolutely love B-SOHO, because the food is super tasty, the atmosphere is really, really good and there's live music a lot of evenings. We had:

Polenta Chips with Blue Cheese Dip

Courgette Chips with Aioli - super tasty

I had Pizza with Mushroom, Aubergine and Courgette, which was very delicious.

Alice had Bruschetta with Smoked Salmon, Mascarpone and Dill and Aubergine Parmigiana

and Rachel had Salad with Poached Salmon, Avocado, Boiled Potatoes, Red Onions and Cherry Tomatoes

Everything was super tasty! I can seriously recommend this place, I like it so much that I'm considering having a birthday meal/drinks thing there.

On the Sunday we decided to give the city a miss and went for a wonderful walk to finish of a wonderful weekend.

This weekend was exactly what I needed: Seeing my two best friends and just getting out for a bit and forgetting about all the little, unimportant in the grand scheme of things, stresses in life. Also, completely unrelated, but Daniel and I are going to Edinburgh this weekend for the Fringe Festival, so if you have any comedy or food recommendations, please do let us know :) Have a wonderful evening!
